Is the Bible Just B.S.?
by shamus indo you think that god enjoys killing people?
it sure sounds like it to me; jw doctrine more or less scared me into thinking that god is going to kill all persons whom he/she thinks is not doing his will.
my question is, how can god kill someone for not being "christian", or following the bible out of sheer ignorance?

Do you believe in God or Jesus ???
by run dont walk inpersonally, i could care less about god and/or jesus, have no use for either of them, very disappointed in how they run things.
and when i die, i hope i get the chance to tell him/them that.. there was a great song in the late 80's early 90's by depeche mode called blasphemous rumours(spelling ?
) "i don't want to start any blasphemous rumours, but i think that god has a sick sense of humour, and when i die i expect to find him laughing.".

I guess a better question is "Why do people feel they have to believe in God/Jesus."
Why is it so imortant to have a belief in a higher life form ?

Maybe my attitude will change when i hit my 60's or 70's, but i doubt it.
How about you, have you found a new belief since leaving JW land, or still have a belief in God ???
just curious

Pat Tillman
by Yerusalyim ineither i've missed it or we haven't talked about the death of former nfl player turned army ranger specialist pat tillman in afghanistan.. this guy represents what's right about america.
he had money and fame and wanted to give back to the country after 9-11. i'm proud of people like him...and there are thousands of them here in the military...people who left homes and families...and sometimes good jobs...to do something important.. on a side note....i was worried that with as hard as we're driving the force that retention in the military was going to be a problem...thus far this year the army has exceeded it's goal of retention by a couple of 100 soldiers...the marines....have retained 90% of the goal for the year in the first six months.
these are dedicated people we're talking about here.
